Everything in this place was very good. Feom the intimate environment with a very good service to a perfectly cooked pie paired with red wine. The Lamb Tavern is located inside the Leadenhall Market, a famous market lasting around 200 years that appeared in the Fantastic Beasts movie.
came back for more...this place never disappoints. British comfort food at its very best, with impeccable service and ambience.
what a fabulous experience we just had. went for Sunday lunch and enjoyed exceptional food (highly recommend the lamb pie, out of this world) and outstanding service, in a very nice ambience. a gem really.
Amazing! Delicious tradicional English food, gentle and friendly served. The dishes are very well presented and the cooking excellent. We were very well counseilled by the waitress, a very professional person. They have good beers. The place is cosy and well decorated. The 1st floor dinning room has a view to the Leadenhall Market inner streets. The balance price-quality is good. I recommend booking in advance to guarantee your table since they are full all week days... the prize for reknown quality.
Excellent meal upstairs at the Lamb. Fantastic and friendly service. Had the lamb burger which was great although star of the show were the chips which were perfection from my point of view. Great view from the corner window too.
We popped in for a drink to avoid the rain and found a lovely place to spend a while. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. We sat downstairs and watched everyone wander past the doors. A great place for people watching. The upstairs seating area is wonderfully snug and cosy while the tables in the market are great if you have your doggy companion with you.
I recently attended yesterday morning, The Lamb Taverns Winter Warmer event, which included welcoming the first beer barrel of Young’s Winter Warmer 2023 beer to London by the traditional horse and dray. The morning also included a wonderful full English breakfast and winter warmer merchandise too, where some of the £25 ticket proceeds went towards charity too!
This was such a worthwhile, special and fantastic experience from the beginning, right through to the end.
The atmosphere was set when the location is in as beautiful place as the Leadenhall Market, and Lamb Tavern pub. Having the first taste of the 2023 Young’s Winter Warmer beer barrel while waiting for the horse and dray to arrive was an amazing way to start and get in the mood.
The ticket included as many top ups of the beer until the barrel ran dry which was special. Then the traditional horse and dray arrived which was such a spectacle and honour to see and be apart of for the morning. The men were dressed in traditional, smart uniforms and the horses were in impeccable condition. The barrel got wheeled off the cart and then lots of photos could be had with the horses.
The morning then followed on by an amazing full English breakfast upstairs overlooking the beautiful market.
On the individual tables were young’s winter warmer merchandise consisting of a tote bag with socks, hat and scarf included, which was a lovely touch and the room for breakfast had lovely traditional background music to set the scene and keep the good vibes going.
The breakfast was one of the nicest full english breakfasts I’ve had!
Thank you SO SO SO much to the Lamb Tavern pub, for such a lovely, special morning and to your brilliant team, who were all so welcoming and friendly.
Will 1 million percent return, and recommend! Would also love to do this year after year as it was brilliant! What also was fantastic is some of the ticket price went towards food bank charities also. Thank you so much again :) can’t wait to return!

Booked for lunch with a group of friends. Dining room is lovely, much nicer than I was expecting, it is beautiful and the view out to the market as fabulous. We shared 3 starters between 5 people (scotch egg, baked Camembert and Guinness …
Visited on a Saturday when most shops were closed. Was looking for a place to have lunch and was pleasantly surprised when they had Fish and Chips off the menu. It was our 6th night in London and we hadn’t had any yet. It was really good; …
